As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the Accountant.
Family-style, small office environment
Ability to work remotely and/or in-office
Monthly phone reimbursement
Three to five years experience in bookkeeping
Experienced in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Excellent computer skills
Quickbooks experience required
Ability to work in a busy office environment, demanding high levels of concentration while coping with frequent interruptions
Incredible organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to keep information confidential and effectively communicate need-to-know information
Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
Planning, organizing, and managing your workload to ensure that your contribution to the financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
Handling paperwork and maintaining contracts, proposals on file, etc., for all clients
Completing end-of-month journal entries and reconciliations
Tracking and reporting on use tax, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, etc.
Assisting in drafting, maintaining and reviewing financial statements and reports
Investigating and answering questions/concerns from clients, vendors, team members
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable – making prompt payments by check or credit card, prompt deposits, and managing bank account entries and reconciliations; follow up with clients on past due invoices
Reporting to remote accountant
