Marketing Strategist 

MediaCross is looking to add a Marketing Strategist to our growing team in St. Louis.

As a Marketing Strategist you will be involved in all aspects of project management, from proposals and strategic planning, to execution and measuring ROI. Account service personnel should strive to go above and beyond, to be proactive and to constantly look for ways to strategically guide and lead our clients.

The Marketing Strategist will provide assistance to Lead Strategists as well as independently handle day-to-day management of clients. As a Marketing Strategist you will gather and assemble background information and analyses as needed for development of job proposals, quotes, creative briefs, budgets, project change requests, etc.

You’ll handle paperwork and maintain files on all client activity, build timelines and set project milestones as well as ensure timely completion of projects. A Marketing Strategist should gain the confidence of clients and co-workers through consistent attention to detail, good judgment, team building skills and ability to work under tight deadlines. You will have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to advance to the position of Lead Strategist within a few years. Marketing Strategists collaborate in teams with designers, art directors, filmmakers, researchers, new media specialists, search marketing experts and writers to share ideas, create strong concepts and produce transformative work.   • Four-year degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related field
  • Experience and proven success in a deadline-driven environment or an environment where a high degree of self-motivation was necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team building capabilities
  • Ability to provide big-picture strategic thinking, vision and insights to drive big ideas and digital initiatives (search, social media, mobile and emerging technology)
  • Ability to take on multiple projects and work in a flexible environment
  • Excellent presentation skills. Experience delivering dynamic presentations to clients and prospective clients from senior managers to C-Suite level is a plus
  • Adept at thinking on his/her feet
  • Social media management experience is preferred
  • Creative online content generation experience is preferred
  • Email marketing and survey development experience are preferred

  • Very involved in all aspects of a project, from proposals and strategic planning, to execution and measuring ROI.
  • Independently handle day-to-day management of clients.
